xSoapboxDerby-DustinMarionDustin Marion of Levittown took 7th place at the All-American Soap Box Derby race in Akron, Ohio on July 27. Dustin was among 440 racers from the United States and other countries competing for a share of $30,000 in scholarships at the annual event, which is held at the 954 foot long downhill track at Derby Downs (shown above, behind Dustin with car and trophy). Racers earn the right to go to Derby Downs by winning their local Derby competitions.

Racers compete in three divisions, based on age, height and experience. Dustin competed against 108 other drivers in the Super Stock division, for boys and girls 10-17 years old weighing up to 150 lbs. “I was proud to be able to represent Bucks County and Team Toyota in the 76th All American Soap Box Derby World Championship. I got to meet kids from all over the world and I had a lot of fun!”
