Dawn Addesa, of North Park in Levittown, was our Leader Lottery winner for the September 8 issue of The Lower Bucks Leader. Leader Lottery is a feature of every issue, in which readers can win money for themselves and free publicity for their favorite charity or community cause.

Dawn picked up her copy of The Leader at Julio’s Famous Pizzeria, on Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills. By checking the 3 questions for that issue, she saw that her lucky number was A54. The questions were: Last Letter in your Last Name; 4th Numeral in your Zip Code; Last Numeral in your Phone Number.

She found a matching number in the ad for Ray Kelly, a local realtor with Century 21 Ramagli Real Estate. She emailed her lottery ticket to The Leader and it was drawn at random from a small pool of finalists.

“I was so excited to hear that I won,” said Dawn. “My grandfather always picks up your paper in Julio’s and we always look to see if we match but never have, until now. Thank you so much to the Leader for creating a fun contest for everyone to enter!”

Dawn, a lifelong resident of Levittown, attended Pennsbury High School and is now a manager at Sycamore Grill in Newtown. “I just had my first child, Daxton,” she said. “He is my whole world now, I love him so much! He just turned five months.”

Leader Lottery winners receive $100 for themselves; they also get to choose a charity, community cause or organization that has special meaning for them, for which The Lower Bucks Leader provides a free promotional ad or fundraising message. “I am a huge animal lover,” said Dawn, “so my charity of choice would be Women’s Humane Society, in Bensalem. They are always in need of help, especially with supplies for the animals. With winter approaching we want to make sure all of the animals are warm, safe and taken care of. ■
